Why do I want to be a Regional Director of the California Democratic Party?
I’m a progressive who likes to get things done. The person who serves in the Regional Director position will organize 11 meetings in 2 years: six regional meetings, four ADEMS packed into a
single month, and a pre-endorsement conference (upcoming this October 21/22 in advance or our endorsing convention, November 17-19).
A Regional Director does not set policy or positions on issues. The role of Regional Director is to conduct the process of our Party and to help all delegates engage with the Party and make their voices heard.
A fair and hard working administrator is what you should look for in a Regional Director. I have proven those qualities in fulfilling my responsibilities in my current position of Chair of the 66th AD delegation.
This is not a glamorous or powerful position, it's a lot of hard work. So, why do I want to run for this position? I believe in the democratic process within our Party and believe our Party is stronger when everyone has a fair and equal place at the table. I have the opportunity in my life now to dedicate my time to the Party in this capacity, and with your support, it would be my honor to serve.
